Terms and Conditions

SCOPE

The following terms and conditions will apply exclusively to the 1st International Conference on Psychology, Counselling and Education (ICPCE 2018), the ‘conference’, to be held at New Era University in Quezon City, Philippines on 2nd–4th August 2018 between the conference organisers (Psychreg, the Asian Psychological Association (APsyA), New Era University (NEU), and the Global Psychology and Language Research Association (GPLRA) – which will be collectively identified as ‘organisers’ on this terms and conditions – and you (‘you’ , ‘participant’, ‘paper presenter’, or ‘non paper presenter’ – whichever is applicable).

Any additional or inconsistent terms issued by you, including any such terms and conditions set forth during registration by you shall not be binding upon the organisers, unless the organisers give their express agreement in writing.

1. REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT

1.1 Payment of registration fee is regarded as a firm registration and acceptance of these terms and conditions, however the registration will not be confirmed until full payment of the registration fee has been received.

1.2 For paper presenters, payment in full must be received at the time of registration and no later than 1 week before the date that the conference begins. In the event that full payment is not received by then, the paper presenter will be refused entry to the conference. The organisers accept payment by PayPal and bank deposit (only participants from the Philippines).

1.3 For non-paper presenters, payment in full must be received at time of registration. Non-paper presenters may still register on the day of the conference – provided that there are available slots. Availability of slots are not guaranteed. 

1.4 To encourage student participation, the organisers offered student rates. However, failure to present a valid student ID during the conference will incur additional fee i.e., the difference between regular (or premium registration), which will be calculated based on regular registration rates, regardless if the registration fee was paid for an early bird rate. 

2. PRIVACY

2.1 Personal information supplied in connection with this registration will be held by the organisers as a record of attendees and parties expressing interest. By registering to this conference the parties concerned are agreeing that the organisers may use such personal information to contact them by email, in order to supply information relevant to this conference, or about other conferences, events, and opportunities that the organisers are planning and feel may be of interest to them.

2.2 The organisers may also share this information with its partners and event sponsors in order for them to contact the participants about other products and services which may be of interest to the participants. If you do not want your details to be used in this way, please contact the Conference Chair by email to confirm this.

3. CANCELLATION

31. Registrations are non-refundable, but transferable. If a participant wishes to transfer his registration to another participant, he should contact the Conference Chair by email. 

3.2. In the unlikely event of the conference being cancelled by the organisers, a full refund will be made. Liability will be limited to the amount of the fee paid by the participant and there will not be any additional liability to the organisers or any other individuals associated with the conference.

3.3. In the event that the conference cannot be held or is postponed due to events beyond the control of the conference organisers (force majeure) or due to events which are not attributable to wrongful intent or gross negligence of the conference organisers, liability will be limited to the amount of the fee paid by the participant and there will not be any additional liability to the organisers or any other individual associated with the conference. Under these circumstances, the conference organisers reserve the right to refund the fees paid minus a 25% admin fee plus any bank transfer fee that will be incurred.

4. CHANGES  AND POSTPONEMENT

4.1 In the unlikely event that changes to the conference are necessary, the organisers reserve the right to make such changes to the conference programme, speakers, venue, time schedule, and conference proceedings at any time. 

4.2 In the event of it being found necessary, for whatever reason, that the conference is being postponed or the dates being changed, the organisers shall not be liable for any expenditure, damage, or loss incurred by the participant. If by re-arrangement or postponement the event can take place, the registration between the participants and the organisers shall remain in force and will be subject to the cancellations terms mentioned above.

5. CPD POINTS

At the time the conference was advertised, the organisers did not make any marketing claims that CPD points are guaranteed. Although the organisers applied for CPD points, in the event that no CPD points are awarded for the conference, the organisers will not be held liable for this. 

6. LIABILITY

5.1 Views expressed by speakers, sponsors and/or exhibitors are their own. The organisers cannot accept
liability for any advice given, or views expressed, by any speaker, sponsor and/or exhibitor at the conference or in any material provided to participants.

5.2 The organisers shall not be responsible or liable for any direct or indirect loss or damage of any sort incurred as the result of the services or information provided in connection with the conference. 

7. INSURANCE

It is the responsibility of the participant to arrange appropriate insurance cover in connection with their attendance at the conference. The organisers cannot be held liable for any loss, liability, or damage to personal property.

8. PHOTOS AND FILMING

For promotional purposes, photos and video recordings will be taken during the conference. Participants who do not wish to be filmed or recorded should advise the Conference Chair by email prior to the conference.

9. WEBSITES AND LINKS

9.1 The conference website and associated organisers’ websites , particularly the Psychreg websites, may link to other websites and networking tools provided for the convenience of the users. The contents of these websites are maintained by their owners, for which the organisers, particularly Psychreg, take no responsibility.

9.2 Neither can responsibility be taken for contents of any website linking to the conference website, or to the organisers’ websites, particularly the Psychreg websites.

10. VISA REQUIREMENT

It is the sole responsibility of the attendee to take care of his visa requirements. Attendees who require an entry visa must allow sufficient time for the application procedure. Attendees should contact the nearest embassy or consulate to determine the appropriate timing of their visa applications.

11. ISPCE MEMBERSHIP

11.1 Membership certificates will be issued on the last day of the conference. It is ISPCE’s policy that you have to attend our conference to get your membership badge i.e., You will get your badge when you attend ICPCE 2019 to be held in Malaysia.

11.2 ISPCE members will be known as ‘members’, not ‘fellows’. 

12. BOOK RAFFLE

12.1 The book raffle will be administered by the organisers at the conference venue. All participants who purchased premium registration, are oral presenters, and invited participants are eligible for the book raffle.

12.2 The winners will be drawn by the organisers and the decision is final. Book prizes will be given away on the same day. After which, no further correspondence relating to the book raffle and the book prizes will be entered into between the conference organisers and the eligible participants.

12.3 The organisers reserve the right to amend, withdraw, or terminate the raffle or alter the raffle at any time without prior notice.

12.4 Images of book used on the Psychreg website are for illustration purposes only.  Actual book may vary and ICPCE will not be held liable for this. 

13. SPONSORS/EXHIBITORS OR PARTNERS

11.1 As sponsors or partners of the conference, you agree that the organisers will use you name and logo for all marketing purposes . The respective logo and names will only be used relating to the conference – and may appear on affiliated websites, particularly the Psychreg websites. 

11.2 Sponsorship fees are non-refundable.

14. GENERAL

The organisers reserve the right at all time to change, amend, add or remove any of the above terms and conditions without prior notice. If one or more of the conditions outlined in these terms and conditions should be or become invalid, the remaining conditions will continue to be valid and shall apply. These terms and conditions apply to all participants of this conference, including speakers and sponsors.
